Referee Mike Dean celebrates wildly once again as Tranmere win League Two play-off final
Mike Dean had no intention of hiding his elation as Tranmere were promoted to League One on Saturday. The Premier League referee, a lifelong fan of the Rovers, was seen celebrating in the standsonce again, after previously being spotted during the semi-final against Forest Green. At Wembley, Connor Jennings scored in the final 90 seconds of extra time to earn Tranmere a 1-0 victory against ten-man Newport. The final was heading to penalties after a scrappy game of few chances, but Jennings headed home to break the deadlock and send Rovers back to the third tier for the first time since 2014.With the Premier League season over, Dean was able to enjoy his day out as his side secured back-to-back promotions. You can see footage of the referee celebrating above.

Patrice Evra just got intimate with raw chicken, in a recently uploaded weird video, and many think the unorthodox full-back might have just gone too far. I don't get it, not really sure why the French Soccer star just made love to a chicken on his Instagram, but he did and you are about to see it.

Every man and his dog will have Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah this week so to change it up we recommend taking a risk on Firmino. We say risk purely because he isnt as prolific but he can still do the business, as he did against Spurs on Sunday.

Everton are targeting Manchester United star Chris Smalling, according to reports.Smalling, the centre-half, is out of contract at the end of the season and he’s been watched by Everton scouts as they weigh up a move for him.Smalling has been far better this season than he was throughout 2017/181
Smalling has been far better this season than he was throughout 2017/18
The 28-year-old has somewhat rediscovered his best form after last season was uncharacteristically poor by his standards. He’s made 14 appearances in all competitions, chipping in with a goal in United’s defeat of Watford, and is clearly regarded by Jose Mourinho as one of the club’s first-choice defenders. However, Smalling is out of contract next summer and, despite talks being held between him and the club, the former Fulham star is yet to put pen to paper on an extension. And Everton are showing interest in tempting him to Merseyside when his deal runs out in June, according to The Sun. Smalling is reported to have been watched by Everton scouts, working on the orders of Marco Silva, with the Toffees ready to splash the cash when the transfer window opens at the end of the season.United have the option to extend Smalling’s contract by a further year due to a clause written in his existing deal, but Everton will not be put off even if the Old Trafford club trigger the extension.

‘Arsenal are a contradictory club’ – John Motson believes Gunners lack consistency and warns Unai Emery he may not be given time to turn it around
John Motson has described Arsenal as a ‘contradictory club’ after their indifferent start to the season. After replacing Arsene Wenger with Unai Emery, the Gunners went on a 22-game unbeaten run in all competitions to give fans hope of qualifying for the Champions League.Motson believes Arsenal have become a ‘contradictory club’3
Motson believes Arsenal have become a ‘contradictory club’
However, their form has dipped somewhat since that run was ended abruptly at Southampton and injuries and defensive frailties have once again crept into their play.On Sunday afternoon defending Premier League champions Manchester City fully exposed those frailties by targeting the full backs as they secured a 3-1 win to send the Londoners back to sixth in the table. And Motson believes it is that level of inconsistency which threatens to disrupt Emerys first season in charge at the Emirates.Ill tell you what I think, I think Arsenal at this moment is a contradictory club, he told talkSPORTs Hawksbee and Jacobs.Sergio Aguero bagged a hat-trick as City cruised to victory3
Sergio Aguero bagged a hat-trick as City cruised to victory
For the first half of the season, they couldnt do anything right in the first half and they won all their matches in the second half. And now yesterday, its the other way around! I think its contradictory because you cant blame the coach because hes still new; hes still sorting it out.But its very difficult to know of what he how much he inherited from [Arsene] Wenger is a plus and isnt a plus.A year ago, they spent a lot of money on [Pierre-Emerick] Aubameyang and [Alexandre] Lacazette, which was good, but then all of sudden theyre losing [Aaron] Ramsey who I think is one of their better players and theyre not using [Mesut] Ozil!Aaron Ramsey is reportedly on his way to Juventus3
Aaron Ramsey is reportedly on his way to Juventus
So everything about Arsenal just does not quite stack up apart from the fact that the back four can be relied upon to concede goals.Although Emery secured the loan signing of Denis Suarez from Barcelona, the failure to bring in any defensive reinforcements could well come back to haunt the Gunners. With Sokratis Papastathopoulos currently out injured and Rob Holding and Hector Bellerin out for the season, Emery is currently working with the bare bones. And Motson does not believe he will be permitted much time to get it right at all. He added: The other thing, and this is another phrase which has crept in, is people saying that he will need four or five transfer windows to sort this out.Thats two-and-a-half years!

The Mirror report that Chelsea and Man United are keeping tabs on the youngster, while Premier League champions Manchester City are also reported to have looked at a potential deal for him. This season Wan-Bissaka has made 24 appearances in all competitions and was rewarded with a debut for England’s Under-21s – playing the full 90 minutes against the Netherlands in September. His display in Palace’s 2-2 draw with Arsenal in October was hailed by former Newcastle and England striker, now Match of the Day pundit, Alan Shearer.“I thought he was absolutely magnificent,” Shearer said. “20 years of age. It was only his 16th Premier League start and he looked so very very comfortable.“Everything he did, whether it was the timing of the tackle, or one-on-one using his pace to recover. Unai Emery has brought the feel-good factor back to Arsenal, claims Gunners legend Nigel Winterburn
Arsenal legend Nigel Winterburn believes there is more togetherness at the Emirates this season compared to last.Unai Emery has guided the club to the quarter-finals of the Europa League, and Champions League qualification via the top four remains in their hands.A 3-0 victory over Rennes last week saw the Gunners become only the second team in Europa League history to overturn a 3-1 deficit from the first leg, and it followed the impressive 2-0 triumph over Manchester United.Unai Emery is trying to get the Gunners back amongst Europe’s elite3
Unai Emery is trying to get the Gunners back amongst Europe’s elite
Things are suddenly starting to look brighter at the Emirates, following the toxic atmosphere which lingered throughout the end of Arsene Wengers reign.Nonetheless, while the vibe is good, Winterburn admits his former club still have a long way to go.Were in a new era for Arsenal, he told Jim White on talkSPORT. Since Arsenal have moved to the new stadium, theyve found it very difficult to compete.Yeah, theyve won FA Cups, but in terms of Premier League titles, its just non-existent.As a club were looking to try and get back among the elite, and I think its going to be very diffucilt for Arsenal to do that.Arsenal secured two huge results in the last week3
Arsenal secured two huge results in the last week
Arsenal supporters realise weve got a long, long way to go.Were seeing different scenarios with Unai Emery: team selections, formations, substitutions at half-time.But the more important thing is it looks like the team are together and theres a driving force there.Theres a good feeling around the stadium which was not there last season.Winterburns illustrious 13-year career at Arsenal saw him win the Premier League and FA Cup double under Wenger in 1998.And the Englishman finds it strange that his former boss has spent so much time away from the game since his Arsenal resignation at the end of last season.Winterburn played under Wenger for the last part of his Arsenal career3

He added: Wenger still believes that he can drive a team to be league champions, whether that be in the Premier League or somewhere else.Im a little surprised thats not back in yet. That puts a little bit of doubt into my mind.
