Just one point continues to separate the dou going into the final eight games of the campaign, although Man City will be distracted by both the Champions League and the FA Cup, while Liverpool are only left in the continental competition.Recent poor Liverpool form has seen them relinquish first place to their rivals but anything can happen in the Premier League as we have seen so regularly in recent years.

Manchester United looked more the part against Liverpool, and with Arsenal looking more solid at last, you would have to think it is more between these two at the moment. United have the know how to finish the job from here, this is the time of the season when they have historically put their foot down and pulled away.

Great stuff, TT. I like the idea of The Wisdom of Crowds, but as you say, it does depend which crowd you're talking to. A lot of us, after eight years of ill-informed abuse from pundits, journalists and increasingly our own number, are saturated with quiet desperation to prove everyone wrong, that our assessments our bound to be biased or motivated by wishful thinking.
