Big Sam has emerged as a strong favourite to succeed Darren Moore, who was axed on March 9, as the Baggies next permanent boss.Allardyce admits he was surprised by Moores departure, given West Brom sit fourth in the Championship table, but has admitted he has received no word from the club over becoming his replacement yet.Speaking on Tuesdays Sports Breakfast, Big Sam said: Who is it now? West Brom?I have had no contact from West Brom, I can assure you that. I don’t know where this has come from.I was surprised, with the position theyre in, that Darren lost his job. Its strange, fourth in the table and pushing for promotion?2
