An ankle injury has restricted him to just five West Ham appearances since leaving Arsenal and signing a three-year deal at the London Stadium last summer.Last week, West Ham boss Pellegrini refused to confirm reports claiming Wilshere would miss the rest of the season with the persisting problem.But on Thursday, the Chilean ruled him out of the Cardiff clash this weekend.He said: We dont have any more news (on Jack) for the moment.2

We are going to give him the time to recover 100 per cent.Maybe next week he will start doing some work on the pitch, but we must be calm with him because he needs to recover 100 per cent.Meanwhile, Pellegrini has been boosted by the recent return of playmaker Manuel Lanzini.The Argentina international played his first full 90 minutes since recovering from knee ligament damage in West Hams 2-0 win over Newcastle last weekend. Pellegrini said: Manu played the complete game, first it was not my idea because he played 15 minutes, then 45 minutes.I wanted him to just play 65 or 70 maximum against Newcastle but he told me he was OK so he completed the game.He worked this week without any problems. He is ready, he is recovered.
