A group of Ajax supporters will today be deported from Italy after being caught carrying weapons ahead of Tuesday evening’s Champions League match against Juventus.Italian police stopped two busses on the outskirts of Turin on Monday, with the authorities on high alert following last week’s first leg tie in Amsterdam.1

According to Dutch media outlet NOS, 54 supporters were on the busses stopped by police, with some understood to be in possession of ‘brass knuckles, smoke bombs and firecrackers’. None of the individuals were arrested during the incident, but they will all be escorted to the border to leave the country.Matteo Salvini, Italy’s Minister of the Interior, said: “We’re fighting against every type of violence inside and outside stadiums.
