Cole’s LA Galaxy career has come to an end

The 37-year-old, who won 107 caps for the Three Lions, is believed to be keen on a return to England, having been playing outside the country since leaving Chelsea in 2014.And, according to The Guardian, Championship promotion contenders Aston Villa and Derby are eyeing up Cole on a free transfer. Derby are managed by Cole’s former Chelsea team-mate Frank Lampard, while the duo’s captain at Stamford Bridge, John Terry, is assistant coach to Dean Smith at Villa Park.The former Arsenal full-back, who has won more FA Cups than any other player, has been one of the more successful English imports to MLS.
