Guardiola was seen speaking with Sterling

Despite Raheem Sterling scoring a brace and turning in another all-round impressive display, the England star was seen, minutes after full-time, being lectured by an animated Guardiola.The passionate discussion was caught on camera and Guardiola appeared to be making a point about something he was unhappy with, as Sterling listened intently. Afterwards, Sterling made light of the conversation, as he jokingly wrote on Twitter; “He just said I shouldnt have tried to steal that first goal.”The goal he was referring to was the second of the match, when Gabriel Jesus had tapped the ball past Hornets goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes, only for Sterling to smash it in on the line.

The goal was similar to David Nugents debut strike for England when he tapped in a goal-bound shot in the 93rd minute to seal a 3-0 win over Andorra in March 2007.
